Our first grade teachers are dedicated to putting in the work to provide HVP’s grade students with explicit and systematic instruction through a Phonics Lesson Study. Thank you to Freedom Homes of Good Hope, AL for sponsoring our lunch and for district personnel coming to support our teachers.

Pre-K Enrollment is open until March 13th. We will have a random drawing at the Cullman County Board of Education Boardroom on March 27th. Additional information is included on the flyers below.
This week in STEM we are creating shadows and learning about different types of light.
Hanceville Primary School had the opportunity to host an ARI Coaching Community on January 22, 2026. All of Cullman County Literacy Specialists gathered to collaborate with one another while participating in a Coaching Lab and PD provided by Regional Literacy Specialist, Heather Spradlin and Kim Goodwin . HVP's Reading Coach, Danielle Shelton and kindergarten teacher, Tate Sellers, lead the lab while displaying an explicit phonics small group lesson.
