Ms. Pender's class gives special thanks to Mrs. Martin for coming to lead a number talk this morning. They discussed and discovered multiple ways to make five.

We have an author and illustrator in first grade! Raylee wrote and illustrated her story last night. She wanted to share it with her class today. She said that she used the high frequency focus words for this week, sounded out the words she didn't know how to spell, and made sure her story had a logical sequence with a beginning, middle, and ending. Her classmates thoroughly enjoyed her story and illustrations.
